We realised that mirrors are too often treated as purely functional objects, practical tools hung on walls simply to check our appearance. We wanted to change that. We wanted a mirror that could stand as a true focal point in a room, something that draws people in rather than serving as a mere reflection.
The idea took shape during a trip to Malta. Walking among the island’s golden sandstone formations, we were struck by their organic, flowing shapes. These ancient rocks carried a quiet yet vibrant energy, warm tones and gentle, softened edges that felt both calming and alive.
At the same time, being surrounded by the Mediterranean, we came across the idea of an oyster and its pearl . The sight of those elegant, sculptural shells immediately sparked the concept: what if the mirror itself became a shell, cradling a luminous pearl at its heart — the mirror glass.
Over the course of our journey, we absorbed inspiration from every corner of the island. We sketched constantly, letting the textures, light, and flows of Malta guide us. What emerged is something different: a mirror that doesn’t just reflect you, but invites you to pause. It transforms the act of looking into an experience, one that feels intentional, beautiful, and captivating.
